Matera

The free shuttle bus from the campsite dropped us off on the edge of the old town and off we went exploring. The town is well known for the rock houses that were occupied until the fifties, we also visited a rock church but photography was not allowed inside. The old town revealed itself as a labyrinth of steps and alleyways and if you happen to be a 007 fan then you are in luck as some of the scenes from “No time to die” were filmed here.Read more
