La Cité de Carcassonne

The Fortified city of Carcassonne is as you would expect on a hill ( good defensive strategy) and the small effort involved with getting there on our bikes was worth it. The usual amount of gift shops, cafe’s ☕️ and restaurants are in attendance, in fact the one in the photos supplied our lunch and the chance to get warm from the biting wind. We spent some time wandering between the walls and in the streets taking photos and came away thinking “that was a good day out”.Read more
