La Cité de Carcassonne

The Fortified city of Carcassonne is as you would expect on a hill ( good defensive strategy) and the small effort involved with getting there on our bikes was worth it. The usual amount of gift shops, cafe’s ☕️ and restaurants are in attendance, in fact the one in the photos supplied our lunch and the chance to get warm from the biting wind.
