Evening amble

No taxi to be had so we strolled around the neighborhood after going down 8 flights of marble stairs because the elevator stopped working. 9 flights if you count the ones in the foyers. But whose counting? Me, thats who. We saw a neat fountain just around the corner that was also next to the hidden entrance to a park we could see from our terrace, but couldnt figure out before now how to get to it., a.stature of a Saint being burned alive, and saw a group of people lined up at a doorway but no one was going in. I thought it might be an exclusive club but as we got closer we saw each person bending down with their camera. Zac has always recommended getting in line without knowing why, so we did. We had stumbled upon a famous keyhole called Porta of Malta.or something. Looking through it, it frames the Dome of St Peter down a lovely viney passway. I didn't take a picture because there are a million exact ones online, but I did photograph the crowd, and there was a man playing nice guitar music leaning on the building. Very pleasant by moonlight. Good thing we didn't get a cab. Dad was suddenly very tired so we went back to the room. Luckily the elevator was now working.
