• Dead seals. Yikes.

    This is my happy place. Unfortunately Megan was too covid-y to enjoy. I was delighted to go down to the beach in the evening, until EWWWW there were dead seals washed up. About 8 of them. Someone swore it was sharks, but Google says it's been going on for the past 3 years. A bacterial infection is killing pups and young adults. Maybe why the docs in San Francisco was empty. I was alarmed and sad, then focused on getting some interesting pictures of them for Megan and had to threaten her not to go down and collect a seal skull, because, deadly bacteria!!! I showered after my beach stroll, however the seals didn't deter people and their kids, dogs and surfers from playing in the water just feet away from the rotting dog-sized bodiea.
