7 hour boat ride: we saw whales, icebergs, seals and a glacier that calved while we were there. And scenery that was truly spectacular under rare sunny skies-- or so we are told. The day was hot but down by the ice, it was chilly. I stood outside nearly the whole time. I didn't want to miss a thing. Someone handed Megan a piece of ice. A kind of joke, like the opposite of "hot potato" because you have to find someone else gullible enough to take it. Meanwhile it is cold and drips all over you.
