Tomato and Basildon Park

Last stop on our road trip, Basildon Park!
Enjoyed a stay at a hotel which had a pool, sauna and steam room, so enjoyed a chill evening last night and morning swim this morning.
We headed to Basildon Park, another national trust property. We visited many years ago so it was great to visit again. The house has been used for many tv programmes and films including pride and prejudice and Bridgerton. I really love the room which houses a huge shell collection, so pretty.
We had a very muddy walk along the grounds before a lunch stop. We then headed to see my friend Harriet and meet her new baby, before heading home.Read more
