Early morning again for our action-packed day trip to Transylvania!
Had an early bus journey through the beautiful Carpathian mountains.

First stop was Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's castle, which is thought to match a drawing that Bram Stoker had seen when he was researching for dracula.
The castle is so imposing on the hill and definitely has an eerie vibe to it. Had plenty of photo opportunities here but we asked someone to take a picture and we didn't like them!

Next we travelled to Brasov, a really picturesque city which is surrounded by snow top mountains. We really enjoyed mooching around the colourful streets and admiring the architecture. Stopped for lunch in a traditional Transylvanian restaurant, Tom tried the traditional bean and pork stew in a bowl of bread which defeated him!

Last stop was Peles castle in the pretty town of Sinia where lots of people go to ski and it has really cute alpine vibes. Peles castle was the summer residence of the royal family and it has been kept in pristine condition from the 18-1900s. It was so beautiful, each room had architecture inspired from different countries including Italian, Moroccan and Turkish. We had a guided tour here which was great as we didn't have to get tired reading all the information and enjoyed some funny stories.
Took loads of photos today which don't give these beautiful places justice but we of course have a fridge magnet to remember the day.
