Bucharesti-me to say goodbye

Last morning today before our flight back. Bit chilly today!
Headed out for a walk to see the parliament building, this place is so huge I don't know how we missed it until now (it's the world's heaviest building). It's a sad reality though as when this parliament was built by the dictator Ceaucescu he spent so much money on it that everyone suffered. He also bulldozed thousands of homes to build it. Electricity and lights for the public were restricted as he needed so much power to generate the lights in this huge building.

Afterwards we walked to a local park and fed the pigeons our leftover cereal which they certainly enjoyed.
Finally a Luca (like greggs but nicer) and coffee stop before our flight.Read more
