This is Las Medulas....we went there to see the isolated sandstone peaks. What we didn't know is this was the biggest goldmine in the Roman world. On average nearly 7 tonnes of gold was mined each year using over 6000 workers. Aquaducts brought water to the site for the separation process.Lue lisää
