Roadtrip Day 9 - Rivendell & SW Coast

Long drive today via yet more LOTR filming locations including Rivendell and Waitārere Beach, before heading up north into the rain at National Park! Serious temperature changes today as we finally got to experience the weather the rest of the North Island had been enjoying for the past few days (thunderstorms, torrential hail and even some talk of snow!). Caught up with some fellow TA hikers up in National Park hostel - great to see familiar faces and watch the rain together (and talk through next steps in this wild weather )Read more
