Ayutthaya tour

Up at 6 for a tour of Ayutthaya, which is the old capital (around 500ish years ago) before it was invaded by the Burmese. Very hot (33) so good that we started early and had an air-conditioned tour bus. Saw four different temple complexes, which are mostly reconstructed. There are hundreds of temple ruins there, but they are the only part of the city left, as the other buildings were made of teak. Got Pad Thai for lunch at a roadside place with the tour group, and a couple of bits of street food. Nice to have a guide tell us a bit about the history of Ayutthaya and Bangkok.Læs mere
