Day 30 Athens to Copenhagen. Linz to Passau 60 mi

Off from Linz at 6:40. Much of the day followed the Danube, but the best part was later when we dropped into one of the most beautiful valleys w’ve ever ridden through. Steep wooded hills, great fall colors, marshes, swans, castles above the river, and for long stretches we had the bike path almost completely to ourselves. Perfect weather. We stopped for apple strudel with ice cream overlooking the river, then crossed into Germany and finished in beautiful Passau. Days like this remind me again: the best way to see the world is by bike.Read more
