Day 31 — Athens to Copenhagen | Passau → Rebling,

We started the morning with Mass at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Passau, then headed out into cold fog. The coffee shop we wanted was closed, so breakfast ended up being coffee and food from a grocery store. Not long after that the sun came out and the day completely changed — blue skies, perfect temperatures, little Bavarian towns and huge fields of bright yellow mustard flowers along the Danube. We stopped at McDonald’s for lunch in Deggendorf, and by then I was feeling good enough that the climb to our hotel no longer sounded quite so stupid. 😄 The Honey Badger needed a climb. It was plenty hard at the end, but worth it. We finished at Naturhotel Rebling up in the hills, spent the afternoon in the pool and spa, and ended the day with a very good dinner.
