Day 1: Shinagawa

Started the day with some buffet breakfast at Shinagawa Prince Hotel. Had a variety of food: udon, katsu sliders, nimono, baked salmon.

First rides on the rail system - it was crazy! A lot of commuters for work/school. We felt slow and inexperienced with a bunch of luggage and a toddler - And even with all stations written in English, I don't think we would have made it efficiently without my mom. Maisie loved the handles on the ceiling of the trains.

Saw some pretty cherry blossoms on the way to Disneyland- as well as cool structures and buildings that apparently have been built on man-made land on the ocean. Even Disneyland is on a "concrete island"Read more
