1 night in Florence

We landed in Florence and had decided to spend the night in a hotel near the train station. It was hot and we got a little lost, but finally got settled. We had big plans to eat a great meal, have an affogato at a famous gelato store, and watch the sunset from Michelangelo Park. What we actually did was barely make it through dinner after walking quite a ways to Mercato Centrale, and then back to our apartments for showers and sleep. We misread our train departure information and had to rush in the morning through pouring rain to get to the train, but we made it and headed off to Monterosso to settle in for a few days.Read more
