Hanauma Bay is the best place for snorkeling on this island! 🤿

It’s in a volcano cone and it has a pristine ecosystem!

We had to pay to enter and needed to watch a introduction and behavior video, then we were ready to explore this magical underwaterworld!

And we are again at a waterfall👍🏻
It’s pretty cool because you are in a neighborhood and you drive two minutes longer and „whoosh“ you are in a jungle again😂

We got up early to enjoy the sunrise. It was incredible even with all the clouds, they made it even more dramatic🤩

For breakfast we ate a famous Malasadaaa, like a donut but different😂🍩

Ala Moana Beach Park

Today is our last day on this island, tomorrow we‘ll start a new adventure on a new island.

Oahu is a pretty interesting island...
There is Honolulu, a big touristic modern city and on the other hand it has so many beautiful bays and a lot of hidden hikes and nearly untouched nature.
Soo, you have both city and „the wilderness“😆

For this last day we just chilled at the Ala Moana beach, not very interesting or exciting for snorkling or anything like that, but for relaxing and a refreshment from time to time it’s perfect😂

In the evening back in out AirBnB we hunted some fu***** cockroaches.. I HATE THESE BUGS! They are just gross and crunchy🤮🤢🤮
We had already 1 or 2 in this apartment but this one was one to much...
Ohhh and one night i steped on one of these motherf**** it was absolutely disgusting and i nearly had a heart attack😫😂Meer informatie

Welcome to BIG ISLAND!🌺

After Oahu the modern/ city island we’re exploring the most wild and countryside island.. seriously are just about 3 (main) roads😂

Sooo, we started with a waterfall.. but until we found him we had to walk through a jungle like forest with a loot of weird trees, bushes and beautiful flowers 🌺

Akaka Falls

Like one waterfall a day isn’t enough we went directly to a second one!
The Akaka Falls are falling down 135 meters!😅

Pololū Valley

Well today we were at the eeend😂 okee not really but the street was finished..
It took us neary 3hours from our AirBnB up to the north.. There is only one street and you follow her just until the end, sometimes we just drove 80km straight🛣

Today the weathers was „bad“ i mean it rained for maybe 15 minutes😂

When we arrived at „the end“ we walked about 30 minutes down the valley and we landed on a mysterious black sand beach! There weren’t many other human beings and because of the weather we had perfect atmosphere.
I walked a bit further and then the world just kinda finished, there was just a forest, a river and the endless nature😍Meer informatie

Kīlauea, Volcano Nationalpark

We felt adventurous today and decided to visit one of the most activ volcano on this planet🌋

But to our disappointment there wasn’t any „activ“ lava, because we would have walked along the lavarivers and feel the heat and smell the sulfur.
Anyway, it was still very fascinating and our guide knew a lot about volcanos and told us many interesting stories, some were actually really terrifying😉

I‘ll never forget the moment we stood on the crater, some tiny smokeclouds here and there and the smell was very intense. It was kinda spooky to see what such a volcano can do to landscapes and the hole nature and i mean the last eruption was on the 3.5.2018... and we still saw the devastatio it made.Meer informatie

where dreams come true.

Sooo.. yess today my dreams really became reality.
We swam with DOLPHINS🐬

OMG, it was a very special moment when we first saw them and i was ready for the magical underwaterworld.
We jumped and here they were. About 15 dolphins just having fun!
It was too cute to watch, how they chased eachother and their amazing sounds😍😍
I felt like a little mermaid and i forgot anything and everyone! 🧜🏻‍♀️

The dolphins were soo close to us and the sunlight fell into the sea and made everything just perfect!🐬🌊Meer informatie

Mauna Kea

After a perfect day we needed a perfect ending.. And yes.. we definitely destroyed (positive) our expectations about perfect👍🏻

From under sealevel up to 4207 meters.
With our Jeep we drove up and on the half way up the summit you need to stop and wait for about 20 minutes so you can acclimatize yourself for the height and the lack of oxygen on top😂

Soo after the stop we finally reached the summit and it was just stunning!
We were over the clouds and the sun made a indescribable atmosphere!
Slowly the sun sunk and it was just perfect!
All the colors, the clouds, the icy air and the stars which took over the nightsky.

We just laied on top of the mountain and enjoyed all the billions of stars and i catched 5 shooting stars✨⭐️

it was magic.

If you ever want to experience this perfect moment let me tell you a few points which are important!
1. you need a good car.. a SUV/ 4x4
2. gas, refuel your tank!!!!!!!!!
3. pack warm clothes..

South Point Heiau

Right now we are at USA southernmost point!

We drove about 140km through nothing and were we are is also nothing😂
Just us the sea, some dry bushes and very yellow sand.
It’s s absolutley amazing here but very hot🥵
When we arrived we parked our jeep and there were some people jumping down the cliffs and we decided to join them😂
It was awesome to jump off the edge of the world, it‘s about 12 meters high and the feeling when i dived into the waves was indescribable🤩Meer informatie

Green Sand Beach

With a local and his pickup we drove the terrible off-road toward the beach.
It was the bumpiest adventure i ever had (forget about the road in Kauai)!
We had to hold us with all our strength and with every bump we nearly feel of his pickup😂

The beach was actually boring, i mean it was beautiful and the Sand had pretty amazing structures but still not really worth it😅

The way back was even worse and we saw some tourists which were stuck with their cars, so luckily we drove with an expert!Meer informatie

Panalu‘u Beach

For the colorful sand experience today we needed to finish it with a black sand beach, of course😂

We bought some delicious pastrami with salad at a foodtruck and enjoyed the sunset and the foood🍴

Welcome to MAUI🌺

Big Island was the island with the most nature. There were only a few bigger villages and the rest was the wilderness😍 You don’t have to search the adventure because the adventure will find you💫

Anyways, today we landed on our last island we visited Paia, a typical hawaiian village. Colofrul houses, the architecture, flowers and the beach.

We ate burgers, and i swear it was the best one i’ve ever had!

Today it took us into the mysterious Iao Valley. And omg the nature was again just breathtaking!!!
We took the trail deep into the valley, we walked along a crystallclear river, troughs tropicallike forest, stunning rockformations and many flowers🌺

There was absolutley nobody just us and the nature! We found a little waterfall and we took a bath in the refreshing water, it was just perfect!🤩Meer informatie

Atfer the mountainexperience we want directly the other way.. Beach is our next destination.
La Perouse Bay or Keoneʻōʻio Bay (hawaiian) is a beautiful peace of earth. Here we saw many lavafields, clear blue water and a weird forest😂

For the perfect refreshment we drove to the next beach, Oneloa has many beaches, we choose BigBeach and we relaxed in the shadows of the palmtrees and had fun in the giant waves 🌊🌴

Haleakalā

This night/morning we got up at 2am because we wanted to see the sunrise from the summit!

We were really early to drive up before we need to pay the nationalpark-fee 😇
The street has many curves and lead you in zig-zag to 3000 meters above sealevel.
We arrived at about 5am and the sunrise was around 6.45 so while Anna and Andrea were taking a nap in the car i explored the area😅

Slowley they were more and more cars and it was time to get ready to enjoy the sunrise!

It was absolutley amazing how the clouds slowly started to get colorful and how the sun climbed up the horizon. That was a stunning spectacle and very funny how we felt how it got warmer with every second the sun got up☀️Meer informatie

Kameole Beach Park II

After this spectacle we needed a timeout.
We visited the Maui Ocean Center and chilled at the beach.
It was soooo hot, even in the shadow🥵🔥🥵
We found at our AirBnB two bodyboards and we treid them out. We were in action and totally in our „childmode“.
At the end we were good in catching the waves and we were full with sand☀️🌊

In the evening Anna (which is a hairdresser) cut my hair. They were just broken and more like straw then anything else😂Meer informatie

Road to Hanā: Venus Pools

On this day we will drive the Road to Hanā!
It‘s a amazing panorama street trough the fabulous landscapes of Maui!😍
We are really looking forward, but first.. do we have enough gas???
Because the first (and only) gas station in in Hanā itself..
Well, now i’ll tell you our story from these 103.6 km and about the 600 turns we made😂

We thought we just drive directly to Hanā and on our way back we’ll discover the rest!

Our first destination were the Waioka Pond/ Venus Pool.
And we parked and we had no idea were to go, but then we saw thw „keep out“ singh and a path and we found them.
These are natural pools in a scenic coastline!
It was clear water and it screamed to us „jump in me“

Road to Hanā: Kaihalulu Beach

Kaihalulu Beach is a red sand beach.. It’s a secret beach hidden in a little bay. There weren’t many parking possibilities and the path to the beach is actually adventurous😂

You may ask.. well i asked myself „Why is the sand red?“
That’s because the hill/ stones is rich on iron!

Road to Hanā: Honokalani Beach

In the Wai‘ānapanapa State Park is the probably most famous black sand beach!
It’s an amazing beach, the black is sooo intense and the green palm trees make an unbelievable contrast. Sadly here were a lot of tourists but i can’t blame them😅

We walked a bit around and even found something like a blowhole, when the water crushed into the cliffs we even had a rainbow!🌈

Chutes& Ladders

These magical tidepools are very well hidden along the Keheliki Hwy. If you don’t no were to look you‘ll never be able to find them.
But luckily we knew were they were and we’ve found them.
First we walken through grass and bushes and suddenly we stood at the edge of the cliffs. There was a rope and we had to climb this dangerous way down. It was very slippery and we knew if we should fall we would probably be dead.
When we were at the bottom we walked around and climbed a bit and around the corner we‘ve found the pools!

It was just amazing, but sadly the waves were to big and taking a bath would definitely have killed us! But still it was breathtaking! The sound of the angry waves the colors and the salty smell, just WOW🥰🌊

If you are in Maui, you definitely should visit this amazing piece of earth, but beware it’s dangerous⚠️
