Mother's day at Francois

Spent the weekend with my mom and Erich at thier lake property before going international. Had a wonderful time exploring and helping out around the property.

Errands day in Victoria and a little shopping.
I enjoyed some deep fried pickles and a beverage. The waitress commented that it was my "Pick-me-up pickle," for my afternoon. I guess she was right!
Lightening

J stayed in Vancouver while I returned to Victoria. He enjoyed having lunch with a long time friend.

Up island trip today. More highway riding than ideal, but got to do all fun side-roads after the Malahat. Both sides of Shawnigan Lake and Cowichan Bay.

We're still trying to figure out Garmin. Got our training schedule for the half marathon out of sync. I did sprint runs and J did a long one.

ViajeroYes, the city has stuff to do. Fair bit of public art scattered around too. We were there in April too for a curling tournament. It's much better without smoke.
ViajeroWe only have a day. I was there in winter 5 years ago. Didn't see much beyond U Calgary.
