Astoria - Ft. Stevens

We drove from Kelso, WA to Ft. Stevens State Park at the northern tip of Oregon at the mouth of the Columbia River. On the way we stopped in Astoria to see the Columbia River Maritime Museum. The museum showed how treacherous the Columbia River bar still is and how important it is to commerce. At Ft. Stevens we saw elk and deer on our way to the final spit of land at the mouth of the river. We also saw the wreck of the Peter Iredale on the beach.Leia mais
