Bitung and Lembeh Strait

Il weekend del 18-19 Novembre io e i miei amici francesi, Eliot e Cassandre, siamo stati a Bitung, una piccola cittadina del nord Sulawesi. La città è molto caotica e normalmente non è molto battuta dai turisti.
Noi siamo passati di lì perché io ed Eliot siamo andati a fare immersioni nel Lembeh Strait, famoso per le dive macro.
È stato pazzesco, ho visto tantissime creature marine che ho sempre desiderato vedere, come il cavalluccio marino pigmey (quasi invisibile talmente è piccolo) e quello normale, tante seppie giganti, il raro nudibrachio Pikachu, il riccio di mare di fuoco che prende il colore della brace quando illuminato, il manti shrimp che non avevo mai visto (famoso perchè muove gli occhi velocemente) e tante altre creature (segue la lista completa sotto).
Abbiamo fatto anche un’immersione notturna dove abbiamo visto tanti octopus, dei frogfish giganti e persino un cat shark che è raro da incontrare in quelle zone.
Devo dire che sono state tre immersioni da sogno.

On the weekend of November 18-19, my French friends, Eliot and Cassandre, and I went to Bitung, a small town in North Sulawesi. The city is very chaotic and is not normally visited much by tourists.
We passed by there because Eliot and I went diving in the Lembeh Strait, famous for macro dive.
It was crazy, I saw so many marine creatures that I've always wanted to see, like the pygmy seahorse (almost invisible because it's so small) and the normal one, lots of giant cuttlefish, the rare Pikachu nudibrach, the fire sea urchin that takes on its color of the fire when illuminated, the mantis shrimp that I had never seen (famous because it moves its eyes quickly) and many other creatures.
We also did a night dive where we saw lots of octopus, giant frogfish and even a cat shark which is rare to encounter in those areas.
