Varanasi - Day 1

Questa mattina siamo arrivati a Varanasi con il treno notturno. Il viaggio in treno è stato molto comodo, il vagone era pulito e anche abbastanza comodo.

Dopo essere arrivati in hotel abbiamo fatto pranzo e nel tardo pomeriggio siamo andati a fare un giro in barca sul Gange da dove abbiamo ammirato i Gath al tramonto.
Dopodichè abbiamo seguita la pooja serale, la benedizione di Madre Gange. Questa benedizione viene fatta tutte le mattine all’alba e tutte le sere al tramonto.
È stata abbastanza lunga e mi sa che noi eravamo stanchi, perchè non l’abbiamo apprezzata al meglio.

This morning we arrived in Varanasi by night train. The train ride was very comfortable, the carriage was clean and quite comfortable too.

After arriving at the hotel we had lunch and in the late afternoon we went for a boat ride on the Ganges from where we admired the Gath at sunset.
After which we followed the evening pooja, the blessing of Mother Ganga. This blessing is done every morning at dawn and every evening at sunset.
It was quite long and I think we were tired, because we didn't appreciate it to the fullest.Read more
