Padang

Sono arrivata di primo pomeriggio a Padang, una città molto carina del sud-ovest di Sumatra. Dall’aereoporto ho preso il treno locale per il centro di Padang che costava 50cts per un’ora di treno. È stato un viaggio molto piacevole.
Dopodichè sono arrivata al mio ostello, ho lasciato le valigie e sono andata ad esplorare alcune attrazioni della città, come due bellissime moschee della zona e il mercato locale e il quartiere cinese.
Alla sera mi sono incontrata com Adrian che lavora per l’agenzia che ci porterà nella giungla da domani per i prossimi tre giorni.

I arrived early in the afternoon in Padang, a very pretty city in south-west Sumatra. From the airport I took the local train to the center of Padang which cost 50cts for an hour's train ride. It was a very pleasant trip.
After that I arrived at my hostel, dropped off my bags and went to explore some of the city's attractions, such as two beautiful mosques in the area and the local market and Chinese quarter.
In the evening I met with Adrian who works for the agency that will take us to the jungle from tomorrow for the next three days.Read more
