Cheese and Swiss Mountains

Today we left Geneva and headed to Interlarken. We are staying high up the valley at Stechelberg. We did stop at Guere on the way, the home of the famous Swiss cheese. The village of Guyere sits high on a hill, has its own castle and is attacked daily by a mass of buses and tourists. We then drove to Interlarken and bought groceries and continued to Lauterbrunnen and finally found our quaint Swiss chalet high up in the valley. Its the oldest chalet - hotel over 110 years old. The weather was becoming overcast and cooler with rain forecast for tomorrow so we took the opportunity to walk along the fields wore out our cameras. Every corner you turn is a photo! The girls made a nice shepherds pie tonight. The Alpendorf B&B is where we stayed. The next day we walked through the Trummelbach cavern which are ten underground falls. 20,000 litres a second!
