Lake Orta

We stayed in the village of Orta San Giulio. Its was stunning weather and we walked around the lake edge. The village has traditional Italian houses and many restaurants offering wonderful food. On the top of peninsula were 19 chapels celebrating the life of Francis of Asissi. We went by boat to the monastery which is on an island close to the village.
