We have spent four gorgeous sunny days on Scilly at the base of Mount Etna the highest active volcano in Italy. The tiny fishing village of Stazzo is where we have enjoyed lazy days swimming and resting after such a long journey in the Adriatic with high temps usually around mid 30 centigrade. We took a trip up Etna by cable car and then Unimog to one of it's craters and climbed around it at 2900 metres. We spent a day in Syracuse where the martyred Saint Lucia is worshipped. Tomorrow we had north to Amalfi Coast.Les mer
