    London Greenwich

    30 juli 2019, Engeland ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

Greenwich has much to see do. The Observatory and meridian line with it's history of clocks and navigation, the fan museum, the Maritime museum with it's rich history of boat building, trade and naval conquest. I was fascinated by the story of Harrison who took up the challenge to build a gimble clock that would work at sea and solve the perennial problem of longitude. He was never recognised for his ground breaking inventions and they are in display at Greenwich. The maritime museum is amazing with a great display of memorabilia around battles like Trafalgar, Canon balls embedded inpic pieces of wood, Lord Nelsons uniform and even a price of the flag from his ship! The Cutty Sark sits above ground and you can tour it's underside!Meer informatie
