San Telmo Neighborhood

Today was a walking tour of the “oldest” part of BA. This area started out around the Jesuit church, adding a school and small community. Several other churches were built with several becoming the center of battles between countries for control of the area. Notably between England everyone else. This was in a time when Buenos Aires was only a town without Argentina the country. During one of the battles the church was hit with cannon balls and today they have recreated that with fake balls into the building.Read more
