Mafalda

There is a very famous Latin American comic strip type character here called Mafalda. Similar to Calvin and Hobs who was actually social commentary disguised as a children comic. I’m not at all familiar with the series but the main character is a 6-year old girl and her “friends” who make child-like statements about Argentina and the world.
Part of the San Telmo neighborhood has statues of Madalda and her friends as public art.
Mafalda is in a main area and there was a long line to sit next to her for a photo.
She must be very popular with all ages, although the artist died in the 1990’s.Baca lagi
