    Next up was a visit to the town hall, the Palazzo Comunale. Since the birth of the City-Republic in the XII century, this has always been the office for Moderna’s public authorities and still is today. The town hall has preserved a few of their original rooms and it was free to walk through and see them. Each room had its own official purpose and the décor and decorations in each are amazing. Most of the ceilings are painted to give the illusion of high domed ceilings and in some cases it is hard to work out what is real and what isn’t. The artistry is breathtaking.Read more
