Santa we have arrived!

Well not a great start to our arrival in Santa’s home town. While waiting for our uber and with our attention distracted as Errol had a slip on the ice, Brad’s backpack went missing from on top of his suitcase while we were waiting for an uber.
All the important things were in Brad’s backpack - wallet, id, passport, chargers, iPad, etc. The airport staff were amazing and called the police who arrived quickly. Details taken, we made our way to our accommodation stressing about how we would have to arrange an emergency replacement passport with the possibility of having to travel to Stockholm. Next thing Brad receives a call from the Police. A member of a family group next to us had mistakenly taken Brad’s backpack and once they got to their accommodation and realised they contacted the police who then picked it up from them and dropped it off to us. What a roller coaster ride from the stress of thinking Brad had lost so much to having it all returned - feeling so relieved.

We left home at 6.30am on Friday morning and we are just now going to bed on our first night at 8.30am Sunday (Brisbane time). A long travel time but now we can relax and enjoy our trip. And the cold cold weatherRead more
