• Montenegro day 2: Budva and the beach

    28 juillet 2022, Monténégro ⋅ 🌙 27 °C

We hit up the pool this morning again and had a yummy breakfast at the villa. We got on the road to drive half hour to Budva, a town that is one of the oldest on the Adriatic Sea. It’s more than 2,000 years old. The drive was once again beautiful with breathtaking views. We have also learned that there are always traffic jams in Montenegro. We went to a great beach in Budva. Many of the beaches here are rocky, and we collected some amazing rocks. We spent four or five hours at the beach. The water was so refreshing and the kids were able to see some fish with their goggles. After the beach, we drove to old town Budva. There were Roman ruins there and an amazing city wall. We walked all the way around on the city wall and saw some beautiful sights and views. The old town is so charming with tiny streets and cute cafes. We found a restaurant tucked away called the secret garden. It was perfect for a quiet dinner after a busy day. We ate pasta and steak and mussels and delicious olives. The girls rode the carousel and then we headed back home. Budva is definitely a new favorite town of mine!En savoir plus
