Berlin- day 1

We got to explore beautiful Berlin today! It’s a fabulous city. We saw the old Anhalter Banhoff train station that was used to deport thousands of Jews during the war. It was almost entirely destroyed in the war except for the entrance. We got to visit the Berlin Wall, which was pretty cool. The boys had a curry wurst hot dog, which they loved. We stopped at Checkpoint Charlie, which was an important border checkpoint during the Cold War. We touched out the excessive heat. It’s normally about 75 in Berlin at this time. It was 99!
