• Day 6 - Nullabor to Ceduna

    Jul 31–Aug 3 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

Did I mention how cold it’s been….lol. It’s a bit hard to take to be honest. Today was probably one of the coldest mornings I’ve experienced here in Oz. So cold we passed on breakfast at the campsite.

Packed up and was on the road at 8.45, no 8.00, no 8.45. Weird stuff happening with the Timezone on certain Apple Watches.

A short 30 km trip up the road to a little stop to view the Great Australian Bight……WOW. What a view. A few obligatory photos and then on the road for the remaining 370 kms to Ceduna.

We’ve been extremely lucky with traffic. Not overtaken by much and not having to overtake anyone ourselves.

Having said that we ended up behind one van 30kms out of the Nullabor Roadhouse travelling at around 90km/hr. We decided to sit tight till we got to the roadhouse.

A big rig came up behind us who was also going to the Nullabor roadhouse (the UHF is a wonderful invention). He decided to remain behind us as well. He eventually regretted that decision given the up and down speed of the van in front of us.

Arrived at the quarantine station, got our vans checked and then proceeded the 2 or 3 kms to the Ceduna Foreshore Caravan Park.

Wow, we couldn’t have got better sites.

Spag Bol and some left overs for dinner in the camp kitchen then topped it off with a Kahlua coffee for Graham, Peter and myself.

Bed time now with no impetus on being up early
