Day 7 - Ceduna

Well earned sleep in today. Not having to pack up and hit the road.

Headed to the camp kitchen for bacon and eggs around 8.30 or so,

The ladies hit the laundry to rid us of some odourus clothing. Whilst it’s a little nippy, shouldn’t take long to dry in the fresh breeze. Wrong.

This really is a great park. Very clean and tidy. Great sites with concrete pad for van and entertaining.

A few maintenance items to attend to so a visit to the local fishing and camping store was in order. Oh…..and thanks to Graham I had to buy Gail a fishing rod (and squid jig)

Mid afternoon, Graham, Peter and Gail decided to test their luck at squidding.

Apparently Gail was successful fairly quickly. By the time the rest of us arrived for a sticky beak Gail just got her second. Another 2 managed to get away before we could secure them.

All but Gail and Graham returned to our vans, they stayed an another hour or so (in the very chilly breeze).

By the time they returned, Graham had caught 2, so he took on the role of teacher, displaying his cleaning skills to both Peter and Gail.

Needless to say we had fresh squid in garlic butter for dinner……and some lovely steak and salad.
