• Day 22 - Bourke

    August 16 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

Just for something different………an awesome morning.

Took it very easy today. Did some washing, tried to sort the issue with my awning out, but to no avail again. Gail was busy preparing Sparkle and Shines tax return.

Graham and Karen decided to do what little sight seeing there is to do in Bourke……..visit Fred Hollows grave. They also found a weir on the Darling that had the potential to give up yabbies.

So, on their way back to the park for lunch, they purchased a net to try their luck later.

After lunch we all jumped in our cars, firstly to visit that weir to try our luck, then fill up for tomorrows next leg of the journey.

We parked up at the weir which was a beautiful spot, but, after an hour or 2 no yabbies to be found.

We’re still living off Perth purchased meals, with tonight’s fare being crumbed chicken with veges (and the is still more to come)

Tonight’s game of Kahoot revealed a very disturbing fact. The game allows you to pick a theme. AI then generates the questions. Karen chose “The 2 WA football teams in the AFL”. For some strange reason the number of questions was seriously biased towards the Dockers. Given most of us are Eagles fans, you’d expect very low scores………….BUT there was one of us that somehow knew the answer to nearly EVERY Dockers related question. That is seriously not a good look Peter.

Another perfect evening around the fire which was ably ignited by the secret dockers tragic.
