• Day 34 - Charleville to Muckadilla

    August 28 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

This part is getting very monotonous…….another superb morning.

I took my car for a very quick wash yesterday to remove the caked on mud. Easier with water than anything else. Today I took Anne’s for the same treatment.

We packed up and were on our way by about 9, not before we visited a park in town where the dogs went mental.

Another poor excuse for roads, with roller coaster size humps most of the way. I use the word roller coaster for 2 reasons. The first to describe how undulating the roads actually were and the second because Graham actually thought he was on one and enjoyed speeding up and slowing down.

Tonight was another off grid experience. In exchange for taking up some real estate without cost we simply had to eat in The Mucka Pub.

The Mucka Pub was apparently rebuilt 6 or 7 years ago after being destroyed by fire. They now had a structure built with modern materials that still had an aged rustic feeling.

If you look at all the attached photos you will notice the name on the building itself is “THE MUCKA BUP”. Apparently this was a deliberate marketing ploy that gained social media notoriety.

Typical of most country pubs, the meals were fantastic. All of us thoroughly enjoyed are culinary selections.

Typical end to an overnight free camp off grid stay (without a campfire)……..bed early
