    Met a nice German pilgrim today, I had seen her a day before, we’d stopped for second breakfast along the way. I heard her say how tired she was, her best attempts to block out the noise from snorers was futile, she hoped for a better night sleep that night. That’s the challenge of staying in Alberges, getting enough rest to walk the following day. We happened to arrive into El Burgos Renero at a similar time, she shared she had first walked the Camino in 2015 and then several times since, including walking from her home in Germany. The first pilgrimage she did changed her life, it was powerful. Now she 37, this pilgrimage is telling her it’s time to set down some roots.
