Mansilla de las Mulas

Day 24/40. Donkeytown I call it (Mules) Second to last day in the Meseta (dry dusty part of the Camino in central north Spain) with long distances nothing much to see. Today started with 13km with no towns no breaks. Extraordinarily long waiting for a town to appear. Entered some kind of daze, thinking stuff like, oh there’s a field or corn but there’s no cobs in it. Oh, there’s a field of dead sunflowers withering away. Oh that stream trickling sounds nice. There goes a fast train in the distance. Stumbled into a cafe finally at a tiny village in some kind of Camino delirium. Laughing at stupid stuff, so tired words couldn’t come out straight, all a bit funny really. The Meseta has definitely affected our minds. Laughed with Maria all the way to Mansilla for the next 6km.
