No Standard Premier today (birthdays only) so it's a DIY lunch on Eurostar's Standard class. Bacon. Mmmm nothing like the smell of a bacon sandwich. We are though talking Francis Bacon. That's why we are heading for Paris. We went to a Bacon exhibition back in 1996 at the Pompidou on 1st September. Bob (metaphorically) ran out screaming. And sadly I missed the London exhibition in 2008.

ViajeroI feel the same as Bob - but he was mentioned during the Weimar Insight day we’ve just attended. Apparently, while Isherwood was staying in rooms in a (then) poor part of Berlin, Bacon, age 17, was staying at the Adlon with his tutor who then seduced him. Must have come from a wealthy background.
