Last Visit to Stjernøya

Another beautiful spot back on Stjernøya to enjoy the dramatic landscape there. Crystal clear water, our own sandy beach and mountains towering above us in every direction, so high you don’t need to get out of the seats inside to see them out the windows.

Before we left Meltefjorden, we decided we weren’t in a hurry and went for an explore of the little island, with Russell’s Mum excitedly exploring like she was a kid again. Luckily, the wind had died down, so we had quite a relaxing morning after a decent (though not perfect) sleep, which was a welcome change! A great snowman by Angela and a snow angel from Russell’s Mum were fun little side quests on the island. As we set off for Sternøya, we stopped to catch lunch in the form of a small cod - but enough to share!

Still bloody cold, so once we were anchored it was time to warm up and make a nice dinner for Russell’s Mums last night with us on the yacht.Read more
