    Commuting in Hongkong

    December 4, 2016 in Hong Kong ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Beside the busy Ferry traffic in Victoria Harbour, Hongkong features an extremely good and organized subway system (buying a ticket from A to B is, for a foreign visitor sooo easy and straightforward to do, VBZ could learn a lot here :-). There are also bus lines and a Trämli. Interesting to discover that the Trämli line was more or less the shoreline of HK Island in the early days - and today skyscrapers are seen all over to the north into V harbour (lots of land filled up here). And some pictures of THE escalator; connecting a long part of the upper parts of HK Island (Soho) to the financial distrinct (in the morning it goes downtown; in the eveving it goes uptown -> just to help and adjust the flow of people going to and coming back from work. Well, we learned recently that Bern Hauptbahnhof introduced a similar system (yes, on
a very smaller scale, but what a WOW for cowland).
