Mexico Day 68 - Mexico City

After working Mon-Wed we had a full day to explore more restaurants and bars.

We headed to Cicatriz which we actually tried to go to the previous week but it was too busy and there were no tables available. It rained for the first time in weeks on the 40 minute walk, just our luck haha! We also took a detour to go past a famous monument called the angel of independence but it was covered with scaffolding and you could barely see it (I suppose a hit like big Ben in London at the moment).

Anyway, our luck changed at Cicatriz where I had a cocktail with mezcal, aperol and sparkling wine - all the best things! The whole front of the bar opened up onto a lovely quiet roundabout full of trees, we said it almost looked like a green screen programmed to show a beautiful background.

We ended the night on balmori rooftop with more cocktails and a DJ playing disco / house music which was great!Read more
