    Today Gem booked up a lunchtime 'taster' menu at a restaurant in Polanco called Fujol. We done some research beforehand and apparently the food here was incredible so we set off in a taxi ready for our 1pm start!

    The restaurant was in a posh residential are and seemed like an old mansion that had been turned into a restaurant. We started with Introductory drinks and a discription of the menu before they brought out the first course....

    The food and the flavours were absolutely amazing, we started with some sort of corn in a spicy sauce - moved on to a Campachi Ceviche followed by some crab with a garnish of flowers??

    Then it was a stuffed aubergine before the grilled octopus main and Mole, fig tamale and sorbet then ice cream with churros to finish.

    The food and the whole experience was great on an afternoon we both loved. Afterwards feeling completely full and tired we gave up on exploring Polanco and got a taxi home for an early night!
