Mexico Day 86-88 - Puerto Escondido

After a lovely night in La Punta we checked into our air BnB called Casa Cascada, a 10 minute walk away from the town centre in Puerto Escondido. We were amazed at the architecture, huge communal living space and the stunning infinity pool overlooking the bay below.

We got chatting to a really nice Texan / Mexican couple around the pool. They had a restaurant in Texas and a boutique hotel in Punta Mita in Mexico and we're in the area looking for their next business's venture. Craig referred to the lady as 'Senora' and got a clip round the ear as apparently you only call grandmothers Señora! Luckily she saw the funny side and they invited us out for a drink that evening.

We met them in a lovely beach bar in La Punta called Xcaanda for some Mezcalitas and then headed to a Thai restaurant called Lychee which was a nice change to the Mexican cuisine (not that we'd ever get sick of it!)Read more
