Canada Celebrations

Vancouver was great. Stayed in 'Downtown' at the Sunset Apartments. Close to the waterfront, shops, cafes and restaurants and just across from Granville Island.
We spent a day up at Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. So nice to be able to get away from traffic and see Canada at its best. Huge tall pine trees, mountains, native birds, bears (behind s fence but still saw them), flowing rivers. We did the Cable Car and then ski chair lift. Pretty spectacular.
The weather was amazing...very lucky. Sun shining, not a cloud in the sky.
That night walked over the Granville Bridge and had dinner. A beautiful nite, good food, ferry ride back across the water and home absolutely exhausted.

Today Wed...We caught the sky train to the airport. Great transport here. Easy to use.
We caught a flight to Seattle (now that's an interesting airport...errr) and then connecting flight to Alaska- Juneau.

Arrived on Juneau to be welcomed by blue skies, warmth and a mountain range that was awesone.

We Booked into Juneau Hotel, walked around the water front to Alaska Fish and Chips. Had a yummo BBQ Salmon Burger. Picked up a few items at the best Foodland supermarket ever, then went back to our hotel for an early nite.Read more
