  • Arrival???

    April 7, 2017 in India ⋅ 🌫 30 °C

My day started early midnight to be exact, where in a plane I was trying to sleep with no luck. We arrived in Delhi at 3 o'clock in the morning to catch yet another flight to Kaipur. Everyone was shattered as we had all nearly stayed up for 24 hours, but the fun didn't end there we were treated to a tour, where I didn't fall asleep on the coach, and a training session, where I didnt fall asleep on the coach!!Read more

  • Jaipur

    April 8, 2017 in India ⋅ 🌙 27 °C

Today breakfast is was nice and we only know that thanks to a random knock on the door by Tom Barlow. Everyone had slept through alarms and we had yet to be called by the hotel.
We turned up to our match today fairly tired and realised our team was a little older than us. All of them sporting the Virat Kolhi beard and one rocking a tattoo on both arms. Their ages varied from 16 to 25 most of them were 18 and had already left school. We weren't optimistic.
We batted for nearly 40 overs scoring 114 runs. I scored 2 and then was bowled by there opener. Clinton was proud of us. However the other team caught up with us in 10 overs.
Our game was over by 1.
They then invited us to a game of 15 overs aside, however with mixed teams. I volunteered for the other side wanting to win a game on tour. As soon as I entered their dressing rooms I was bombarded by Indians wanting a photo. We won the game after some dreadful bowling from me.
We then returned to the hotel for some relaxation.
*pictures with the Indian lads will follow once I have tracked them down

  • Moving ... again????

    April 9, 2017 in India ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Today was a start at 7 not early to me anymore. We got on the road straight away and headed to a palace, which looked very nice. Funny moments dude come when Rupes pointed out we shouldn't be pooping on the floor while pointing at elephant faeces, and when Noah, Chris and Joe bought turbans. We then hit the road again and headed 5 hours to Agra, with only one stop. I am in the hotel now and am very comfortable.Read more

  • Taj Mahal

    April 10, 2017 in India ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

For the Taj we had early start, around 5. Once we had dragged ourselves eves out of bed we arrived at our destination and were rushed off the bus due to parking restrictions. We were the only tired on s around however as the gardens around the Taj were filled with the locals playing, eating and relaxing. On our way to get into the Taj we saw many monkeys. When in the Taj I took many photos of it due to its beauty.Read more

  • Another Match, Another Loss

    April 11, 2017 in India ⋅ 🌙 24 °C

We woke up early and redesigned to play another game. I was with the 1st today, after a brief meeting with the head we lost the toss and batted. We were bowled out for a 120. They caught up to us and won in less than ten overs, which was more than disappoint. That night we had dinner in a spinning restaurant which I over payed 250 rupees on. Yay!Read more

  • Mumbai!!!

    April 13, 2017 in India ⋅ 🌫 29 °C

Yet another early start, five o'clock. We then had a nice walking tour to a homeless children's centre in the heart of New Delhi. When there we met a few kids and had a few thumb wars. On the way we learnt a lot about public urination and how you can't do it in front of gods. We then got on a flight to Mumbai. Once landed and in the hotel we were turned around and straight to the IPL game. Mumbai Indians were playing Sunrisers Hyderabad. We supported valiantly with the locals and were told we weren't allowed to bully David Warner 😩😩😂😂.Read more

  • A win???

    April 13, 2017 in India ⋅ 🌙 29 °C

Today we were all saved with a late wake up. One match was played today. I wasn't playing, these were 12 years old not 15 year olds. We won easily and returned to the hotel for a fines session. I was mainly fined for my brightly coloured shorts. After dinner we headed to a gate in Mumbai were we were the main attraction. There was cues of men getting photos with us.Read more
