Oranjestad, Aruba

The temp. was 26 degrees and rising to 30. We met up with some people we had met on board and shared a taxi to Eagle Beach, costing US$15 one way for the four of us. The beach was stunning and surprisingly uncrowded. We then headed back into town and wandered around Oranjestad. Strange place. Very 'Disneyesque'. Ornate and colourful buildings. We met an American in a bar who had just arrived on the 'Crown Princess', having departed from Fort Lauderdale for a week's cruise. We wished each other 'bon voyage'.Les mer
