Die Lotusblume

Die Lotusblüte ist die heilige Blume, die sich aus dem dreckigen Morast erhebt und dem Licht entgegenstrebt. Im Buddhismus ist sie das Symbol für die Reinheit des Herzens, Treue, Schöpferkraft und Erleuchtung.
Klingt wundervoll, nicht wahr?
Leider ist die Saison der Lotusblume in Kambodscha schon längst vorbei, aber ich wollte trotzdem so eine Lotusfarm sehen. Auf eigene Faust sind wir mit einem fremden TukTuk-Fahrer losgefahren und der Beschreibung bei Google gefolgt. Tjaaa…Pusteblume statt Lotusblume. Die ach so schöne Lotusblumenfarm mit einem Shop, einem Cafe und einer Manufaktur, war geschlossen. Einige verwirrte Minuten und einen Dollar später fanden wir doch noch eine…Farm…sagen wir einen Ort, wo man noch einige Lotusblumen einsam stehen sah. Weil wir im dazugehörigem Restaurant nicht essen wollten, mussten wir 50 cent Eintritt zahlen, klar. Es war nicht mehr viel zu sehen, nur noch einige wenige Lotusblumen, aber wir waren happy, dass wir wieder in der Natur waren, zwischen Reisfeldern und den Tümpeln der heiligen Blume. Wir testeten den Lotuseffekt der Lotusblumen-Blätter aus, freuten uns wie kleine Kinder und schaukelten in den Sonnenuntergang. Als es dunkel wurde, waren wir sehr glücklich, dass der TukTuk Fahrer, der uns vorher 1 Doller zu viel abgezockt hatte, doch 2 Stunden auf uns gewartet hatte. Zum Abschluss gab er uns noch Lotusblumen-Samen zum probieren, die als Lotusblumen-Frucht bezeichnet werden. Die Samen wachsen im grünen Stempel im Inneren der Blume. Die schmecken eigentlich ganz gut, knackig und frisch, aber pellen nicht vergessen, Julian.

Kwiat lotosu to święty kwiat, który wznosi się z brudnego bagna i dąży do światła. W buddyzmie jest symbolem czystości serca, wierności, kreatywności i oświecenia. Brzmi cudownie, prawda?
Niestety sezon kwiatów lotosu w Kambodży już dawno się skończył, ale nadal chciałam zobaczyć taką farmę lotosu. Pojechaliśmy sami z kierowcą TukTuka i postępowaliśmy zgodnie z opisem w Google. Cóż...Jakże piękna farma kwiatów lotosu ze sklepem, kawiarnią i fabryką została zamknięta. Kilka zdezorientowanych minut i dolara później w końcu znaleźliśmy... farmę... powiedzmy miejsce, w którym wciąż można było zobaczyć samotnie stojące kwiaty lotosu. Ponieważ nie chcieliśmy jeść w restauracji towarzyszącej, musieliśmy oczywiście zapłacić 50 centów za wstęp. Niewiele zostało do zobaczenia, tylko kilka kwiatów lotosu, ale cieszyliśmy się, że wróciliśmy na łono natury, między polami ryżowymi i sadzawkami świętego kwiatu. Przetestowaliśmy działanie lotosu na liście kwiatu lotosu, byliśmy szczęśliwi jak małe dzieci i huśtaliśmy się na huśtawce do zachodu słońca. Gdy zrobiło się ciemno, byliśmy bardzo szczęśliwi, że kierowca TuckTuck, który wcześniej naliczył nam 1 dolara za dużo, czekał na nas 2 godziny. Na koniec dał nam do spróbowania nasiona kwiatu lotosu, zwane owocami kwiatu lotosu. Nasiona wyrastają w zielonym słupku wewnątrz kwiatu. Smakują całkiem dobrze, rześkie i świeże, ale nie zapomnij obrać, Julian.
