Curonian spit

This is essentially a barrier island much like a lot of the Jersey shore. It is around 100 miles long. Unlike New Jersey, it is mostly undeveloped, wooded and protected. You get a sense for the woodlands from the Hill of Witches pics. First a pic of the harbor in Nida. Then some pics from atop the dunes.
