Bruges/Brugge

Bruges is a lovely well preserved town, largely because it was bypassed by history after the major port moved from here to Antwerp in about 1500. It was only with the advent of tourism that they recognized what was here. Here are pics of the town center, the ancient hospital, canals through town and in the 4th pic, the gate to the community for unmarried women.
