    La Paz, Bolivia

    January 5, 2019 in Bolivia ⋅ 🌧 15 °C

The capital of Bolivia and highest national capital in the world. The first pic overlooks the city from the Killi Killi view point in the northern part of the city. Second is the La Paz metro-- cable cars. There are 10 intersecting lines built so far, and the gondola ride was nice. Next is the huge local market that overflows into the streets for blocks around. The next 2 are in the Witches Market where indigenous women provide traditional advice, medicines and materials for all sorts of rituals or ceremonies. In the latter picture, those are llama fetuses either aborted by the mother or newborn rejected by the mother. Mountain people collect them in the field to be sold here. The last is a street scene in the northern end near my hotel.Read more
